The San Luis Obispo New Times is an adjudicated, general circulation newspaper distributed throughout all of San Luis Obispo County. In most cases, our legal rates are below our competitors, and we always offer superior service. You will receive all the pertinent paperwork and affidavits that are required by your clients and the local courts in a timely manner.

For publishing a Fictitious Business Name (FBN), Order to Show Cause For Change of Name, or any other legal notice for publication:

Please take a photo of or scan the form and email it to [email protected] or fax the form to 805-546-8641. After you have sent over the form, please call Stephanie West at 805-546-8208, ext. 208 to provide payment information.

It costs $60.00 to publish a FBN with one business name and one registrant. If there are any additional business names or registrants on the FBN statement, then it is an extra $5.00 per name.

It costs $180 to publish an Order to Show Cause For Change of Name.

Deadlines for all legal notices are Mondays before 2pm, for publication in the following Thursday’s edition.
