Thank you for your fine edition on volunteering (Jan. 8). As the volunteer coordinator at the Community Health Center of SLO, I’d like to inform your readers of our need for
volunteers.
As a local nonprofit health clinic, we rely on volunteers to better serve our clientele. We provide primary and specialty medical care
for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.
Volunteers can assist with medical office work or indirect patient care. We will train everyone to our high standards. Our only major requirement is a three-hour orientation to our basic company policies at our Santa Maria Human Resources office.
We consider all volunteers as gifts from the heavens and allow them to arrange their own schedules.
