• An article regarding the recent California Coastal Commission meeting in Pismo Beach (“Significant and unavoidable,” Jan. 17) misstated the employment history of a public speaker. Gene Nelson was a contractor for Pacific Gas & Electric at Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant in April 2007 and no longer works for the utility. Furthermore, recent seismic surveys shot down by the Commission were mandated by the state legislature.
• A recent news brief on the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art’s new assistant director Rebecca Leduc (“SLOMA hires new assistant director,” Jan. 17) incorrectly attributed the acquisition of a vineyard. The vineyard was actually purchased by friends of the Leduc family, but is being managed by Leduc and her husband, Bastien.
