In response to the letter from Karen Lyga in the Dec. 16-23 issue, expressing dismay and disgust regarding hunting on Morro Bay, I would like to add my support.
The California Dept. of Fish and Game seems to justify this activity because of its long tradition. They consider amendments to their regulations annually and may be open to changing their position. The commission accepts recommendations via mail, e-mail, fax, or orally at their meetings. Addresses, etc. are available dfg.ca.gov. I write directly to the Fish and Game Commission at FGC@dfg.ca.gov. There is a group of people in Morro Bay that are working to get changes made, and we can use the help from people like you.
