To be at just one of the Central Coast Shakespeare Festival plays this year or to be at both? That is the question.

Luckily the two plays in the festival this year—William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, a Trivial Comedy for Serious People—run from July 14 to Aug. 6 at Filipponi Ranch, so there’s no need to choose.

Pack a picnic, grab your lawn chair, and imbibe in a glass (or bottle) of wine from Filiipponi Ranch Cellars as you take in Romeo and Juliet. This romantic tragedy will be set in modern times. Or take in something a bit more modern with Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, a Trivial Comedy for Serious People. This comedy focuses on two sets of lovers, with each man leading a double life to curry his beloved’s favor.

Tickets range from $12 to $20. Shows run Thursday through Sundays. Visit centralcoastshakespeare.com for the full schedule and to purchase tickets.
