You published an excellent article by Ms. Ortiz-Legg on military spending (“It’s time to cut military spending,” Feb. 12). I didn’t realize America is spending so very much money on military “stuff,” while our democracy is falling apart. Billions go to the unused F-22. Over a trillion tax dollars are wasted on the Vietnam repeat (Iraq).
Nations that lead must set an example for other nations to follow. Military spending will not achieve world peace.
