VINA ROBLES 2006 PETITE SIRAH JARDINE PASO ROBLES

Winemaker Matthias Gubler makes some of best Petite Sirahs locally, and this inky-colored red is proof once again. A blend of Jardine Vineyard and Penman Springs grapes, both notable Paso Robles vineyards, it’s layered with flavors. This vintage offers intense flavors of blackberries and black cherries with nuances of blueberry, spice and earth. Beautifully balanced and quite drinkable on its own, it’s a great choice for the dinner table with grilled steak or lamb, prime rib or noodles Stroganoff. This will reward those with the patience to wait, and at the retail price of only $26, it’s affordable enough to buy a few more bottles to cellar. You’ll find it at the Paso Robles tasting room, retail shops and restaurants.
