Colin, I was so grateful to you for bringing this issue to the attention of the public (“Arts and crass,” Feb. 19). The box art in question is the very same one I drive by on my way to work every day, and I never get tired of it! I think it really captures some great elements, including our bicycling commuters who, I will add, are enjoying their morning coffee on the go—not smoking anything sinister, as suggested by Mayor Jan Marx.
I can only hope the city will not give in to Marx’s blatant attempt at censorship. I would love to drive by this beautiful art piece for years to come.
