Republicans are willing to fall on their sword to support the “sanctity of life” and outlaw a woman’s right to choose. Contrarily, they have vowed their fealty to the NRA and refuse to support gun control measures, universal background checks, and an assault weapons ban because they believe new laws would threaten a constitutional right to own and bear firearms. Meanwhile, public mass shootings have tripled since 2011.
How can they be pro-life on one side and pro-gun on the other? How many more children and teachers must die before voters defeat elected officials who value the support of the NRA over the real sanctity of the living?

Let me rephrase the question: How can you claim to care about the loss of life to gun violence, and yet vote to support the liberals “catch and release” policing, defunding the police, elimination of bail, and the early release of violent criminals, all of which have killed far more people than mass shootings?

I wish you could supply evidence that “‘catch and release’ policing, defunding the police [which is not happening], elimination of bail, and the early release of violent criminals [also not happening]” has led to more deaths than “mass shootings.”
In 2020 there were 611 such deaths—and obviously on pace to far eclipse that number this year. I find it hard to believe that liberal policing and early release (something Republican President Trump hailed when he was in office) have directly led to that many deaths.
