How many presidential candidates will there be on the 2008 ballot? If you were to observe this presidential race from outside the U.S., you would think there are only two candidates. If you are a typical American, you would think the same thing. Ninety percent of voting Americans will vote for a Republican or a Democrat. All of them will not realize or care that there are other presidential choices. Those other candidates will be ignored.

The point is, the election process, the rules, the media, and the top-tier candidates will perpetuate the omission of other potential presidential prospects. The voters will perpetuate the two-party system that will continue to fail us. Is this ignorance, or arrogance, or both? How do you vote for a person whom you didn’t know exists? Continuing to support this two-party system is a folly, and it will be the downfall of this country.
