All the people fussing about a sex-toy store coming into their neighborhood are just silly (“Meet Steve Diamond,� Dec. 9-16). Sex toys will not harm you or your children. Unless you use one as a weapon, I guess, but then a baseball bat is more lethal and no one freaks out about baseball, do they?
Sex is normal and natural and sometimes couples like a little spice. Sometimes everyone does. So they go to the local sex-toy store (“adult� store) and get something new and fun. Big deal.
If you’re worried about your kids, watch what they watch on TV or play on video games and talk to them about drugs, smoking, drinking, and unprotected sex. If they walk by a sex store in your neighborhood, the store will not hurt them.
