Dozens of people in San Luis Obispo County welcomed 2013 from the cold concrete floors of jail cells and drunk-tanks. According to SLO Sheriff’s spokesperson Tony Cipolla, 31 people were booked into the county jail between the hours of 9 p.m. on Dec. 31 and 9 a.m. on Jan. 1 for a range of crimes that were “all over the place.”

For a comparison, there were just seven bookings during the same time period on the night of Dec. 17 and the following morning, the last non-holiday Monday/Tuesday.
