TABLAS CREEK 2010 PATELIN DE TABLAS BLANC

A new white Rhone blend from this outstanding winery, it’s mostly Grenache Blanc with Viognier, Roussanne, and Marsanne. It’s their first release that’s not entirely estate grown, but the grapes were grown in top vineyards in Paso Robles, all of which have had a long business relationship with Tablas Creek winemaker Neil Collins. Very pretty in its floral aromas and minerality, it has subtle tropical and citrus highlights. Quite delicious on its own, it’s a great choice for scallops, light white fish with beurre blanc, and chicken salad with citrus dressing. A good buy at $20 retail, it’s at Tablas Creek’s tasting room, DePalo & Sons, and Tastes of the Valleys Pismo.
