People aren’t supposed to fly—but don’t tell that to the folks at Suspended Motion Aerial Arts. The creative troupe will unveil its latest gravity-defying feats during a two-night showcase this Aug. 21 through 22. Stunning solo and group numbers will be performed on apparatuses rigged 25 feet above the ground. Is it safe? Who knows! Is it cool as hell to watch? You bet.

Aerial silk dancing and rope prancing will commence. You’ll also see some wild gymnastics surrounding a floor-mounted pole and lollipop (a pole with an aerial hoop at the top). The dances will range from funny to downright mind bending, according to the group’s co-owner, Regina Penton.

“Our performers have worked hard to perfect and present daring, challenging, original moves, and choreography that spans from graceful and poignant to comical,” she said.

Seeing is believing. Go see for yourself. The show runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at 207 Suburban Road in San Luis Obispo. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students, seniors, and children. For more information about Suspended Motion or to purchase advance tickets, visit suspendedmotion.net.
