Steelhead are a symbol of clean water and watershed health. The poor treatment of the beautiful sea-going trout sculptures has parallels to the real thing. Steelhead are down to about 1 percent of historic numbers in Southern California. Please support the fishermen and conservationists who are trying to restore these incredible and critical species by following best management practices (like no pollution in creeks and catch–and-release). And let the sculptures exist to tell the story.
