I served as a combat marine in Vietnam, took an oath to the Constitution, and never shot an unarmed solider or civilian or wore a mask in combat! SLO County District Attorney Dan Dow, remember thou should not kill, and love your neighbor regardless of skin color, or religious beliefs? I live as a veteran now and am saddened by the actions and words from you and your office. Let’s live with love not hate.

Were you a draftee or volunteer? I’m also veteran and was jumped by ICE at 615am on December 29 in front of my apartment in SLO. Do I resent it? Absolutely. Do I hold our District Attorney responsible? No. Rather than make the actions of ICE personal, why don’t you think critically? 40 million illegals have “come over the wire” and invaded our operational zone, our country. This is not the fault of Dan Dow, the District Attorney who managed to get a conviction on Kristin Smart’s killer (amongst other notable actions), but rather, your party. Democrats allowed our country to invaded as a last ditch effort to suppress wages on behalf of their corporate masters. Now that Trump has managed to deport a large portion of them, our roads are less congested, parking is easier, and rent is moderating. Don’t drag our military service into a political issue. Instead, read a book for once. I say this as a Caucasian husband and stepfather of a wife and son with green cards.
The job of the District Attorney is to be the “big meanie” who says “no, you can’t do this”, and to hold those who break the law and victimize others to account. It is not to be everybody’s pal. I don’t see anything coming out of his office which is objectionable.
