While it is commendable that the Biden administration has done much to aid families with children and those seeking work with the recently passed infrastructure bill and stimulus checks, that aid did nothing to help the elderly living on Social Security or the disabled who cannot work.
Even if the Build Back Better bill is passed by Congress, that will also do nothing to help seniors. The last state stimulus check of $600 was only distributed to Californians who filed taxes with the IRS. As a senior living meagerly on my monthly check, I implore other seniors to raise their voices and make their representatives aware of this issue, and hopefully the representatives can let the president know he is forgetting a critical voting block.

When EVERYONE has become a dependent of the government, relying upon the taxpayer for their support, who will be left to support us? It will be like a man standing in a bucket trying to pick himself up by the handle.
If we are busy fighting over “handouts”, we will have no time to notice that more and more decisions ae made for us by some gov’t agency, rule, regulation, law, ordinance, or individual representing a gov’t agency, etc and so on and on.
A good thing the lockdown alerted many Americans of all ages of the looming danger of too much gov’t control of our lives and the businesses in our communities.
Perhaps now, voters will select the candidate without millions to spend and the backing of those already in power [a sure guarentee nothing will change] to vote for a friend, neighbor or unknown candidate with little or noe money and no desire to run other people’s lives or stay in an elected position forever. Candidates who would like to take office, repeal a few useless laws and go back home [without a pension] to live just liek before serving the peope who elected [s]he.
They wil be the Amwerican Independent, Green, Libertarian or Peace and Freedom or Independent candidate unlikely to move on to the Nov ballot under Top Two system that favors the parties in power.
