Please allow me to respond briefly to the May 26-June 2 news brief “Mardi Gras cost Central Coast $1.1 million”:
Yes, protecting our beautiful community from further riots was expensive, but it was worth every dollar. In terms of property saved and injuries and possible deaths avoided, it was money well spent and the savings far exceed the expenditure.
