I enjoyed this elegant wine at the CC Wine Classic and considered it quite a good value for the price at $26.99 at BevMo! in SLO. Strawberry-hued with a fine bubbly mousse, it’s wonderful alone with its strawberry, cherry, raspberry, and citrus aromas and flavors, with nuances of toast. No one would guess it cost so little when compared to its peers, and it rated 91 points from Wine Spectator. The perfect aperitif on its own, this is also quite food friendly. Enjoy it with smoked salmon pasta, fresh crab, lobster, camembert cheese, or brie. And remember that you don’t need a special occasion to indulge in bubbly—not at this price.
