RODNEY STRONG 2011 SAUVIGNON BLANC CHARLOTTE'S HOME SONOMA COUNTY

This tangy, fruity wine is a lovely choice for spicy stir-fries, curries, chile verde pork enchiladas, or main dish salads with fruit and goat cheese. The winemaker said he enjoys it with guacamole and corn chips (I’m thinking nachos). I also enjoy this beautifully balanced white wine as an aperitif. Grown in vineyards planted in Sonoma’s Russian River and Alexander valleys, its delicious, tangy notes of herbs and citrus meld nicely with sweet notes of pear and melon. It’s a very good buy at Trader Joe’s where it’s only $10.99 retail.
