A 55-year old man was murdered in a Paso Robles hotel, according to police reports.

A 911 call was made to police at 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 22 by a man saying there was a dead body at Farmhouse Motel at 425 Spring St. Police found a body with multiple stab wounds when they arrived at the hotel. The man worked and lived at the hotel and was found in his room.

The police are looking for a 32-year-old suspect named Alfonso ā€œPonchoā€ Fierros who was last seen driving a black, extended cab pickup truck and might be driving toward Santa Cruz. He has been described as 5 feet, 7 inches and 135 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.

Police said witnesses told them the suspect might be with a woman who spoke with an accent—possibly Russian, though accounts differ on this point—and has parental ties to Pennsylvania and attends UC Santa Cruz.
