We have just returned from a benefit dinner at McPhee’s Grill in Templeton, which honored Pastor Doug Carroll.
There were about 150 folks from throughout San Luis Obispo County who responded to a radio appeal from talk show host Dave Congalton to help raise money for Pastor Doug.
Chef Ian McPhee of Templeton’s McPhee’s Grill prepared the exceptional four-course dinners for all who attended. In addition, there were many other generous auction items donated to raise money for Pastor Doug and his wife. It is estimated that more than $20,000 was raised to help Pastor Doug and his wife buy a new wheelchair and help pay his hospital expenses.
Congratulations to all who participated. It was a proud moment for San Luis Obispo County residents that Dave Congalton, Ian McPhee, and dozens of volunteers made this unique event such a success.
