Sheriff’s deputies arrested Troy McGee, 18, on suspicion of felony vandalism after he allegedly struck an unidentified victim’s car with a shovel on Nov. 18 at around 4 a.m., said Sheriff’s Commander Robin Weckerly.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, the victim attempted to attend a party at 4310 North River Road in rural Paso Robles when he was allegedly assaulted by a 22-year-old suspect. The unnamed victim defended himself with a stun gun, while a third suspect, identified only as Sergio, reportedly fired shots into the air, Sheriff’s officials said.

The victim fled to his car and locked himself inside. At that time, McGee allegedly inflicted $2,000 in damage to the car’s windshield and paint before fleeing the scene.

McGee was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail. Officials are still searching for the other two suspects. Anyone with information on this incident is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Department at 781-4550.
