If you can't stand the heat, Hill ...

San Luis Obispo

Concerning COLAB. Supervisor Adam Hill should get on with running our county. But he won’t.

Mr. Hill uses an old technique: “good guy-bad guy.” In this case, Supervisor Hill promotes himself as the good guy and Andy Caldwell the bad guy. But, of all those claiming COLAB is “racist,” none of them was there to observe the comedian in question. I was. I saw nothing approaching the claims of racism. I saw several hundred local business people and working-class people who create jobs and pay lots of taxes, taxes which are later spent by Supervisor Hill.

So why is Supervisor Hill so threatened by small business people? Well, because he is being questioned about how he spends public money. He is uncomfortable with that. So he begins slinging mud at those who ask questions. Mr. Hill now ups his rhetoric with claims COLAB is “secretive” and “hostile.” Apparently, we should not be asking questions of Supervisor Hill, but just trust his judgment in silence. Sorry, Mr. Hill. As Harry Truman said, “If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.”

See you at the ballot box.
