So all this talk over the years about being good environmentalists and conserving water was just bunk, huh? As reported in New Times June 16 (“SLO to residents: Pay more for less water”), water rates are going up, in part, because residents are using less water. So excuse me while I go water my lawn for 12 hours—and these ugly drought-tolerant plants have gotta go!
