I picked up a New Times recently and read the commentary on our local tennis courts (“Swing those racquets,” Sept. 2). I wanted to write because you missed one! The Jewish Community Center of SLO has one of two clay tennis courts on its grounds.
Admittedly, it hasn’t been used much or publicized much, but we just started a Tennis Club for doubles play (open to the public, bring your own equipment and balls) that meets at 8 a.m. on Sunday mornings, and there are private lessons being taught on the court. The court is located at 875 Laureate Lane, just off of O’Connor Way. See more about us at jccslo.com.
