As a resident, I care deeply about our government’s obligation to remain fiscally responsible—particularly at the local level. If local government is going to spend our money, it must ensure the people are fully aware of how and where public funds are being used.
San Luis Obispo County Supervisor, Debbie Arnold has done a wonderful job of working to promote responsible spending habits on behalf of SLO County. As a longtime businesswoman, Debbie has extensive experience with planning and executing balanced budgets. As supervisor, she has promoted fiscal responsibility while remaining open and transparent.
I appreciate elected officials who strive to encourage citizen involvement with government business. Unfortunately, some politicians see citizen involvement as a roadblock, but in reality it creates a more efficient and effective government. Debbie is one of the few elected officials who practices what she preaches; the county board cannot afford to lose her.
