“Be funny.” It’s a bold, daunting request. Yet those crazy comedians jump at the chance to oblige every time they take the stage.

Stand-up gal Becky Pedigo is debuting her original, one-woman show, Oreos and Percodan (directed by Jill Turnbow), at the San Luis Obispo Little Theatre from April 8 through 16.

Pedigo’s unique comic mind will examine how a small-town girl with big hopes and dreams can end up behind chicken wire, telling jokes for gas money, while contemplating the irony of existence.

Pedigo hails from Amarillo, Texas, and has spent the last 25 years traveling the globe doing stand-up, appearing on various television shows including The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson and her own half-hour special on Comedy Central. She now resides in Los Angeles.

Tickets for Oreos and Percodan cost $20 and are available for purchase online at slolittletheatre.org.
