It’s said we need a sewer,
we need it right away.
‘Cause the stuff that we exude
is fouling up the bay.
But since the bay is federal,
a “treasure” so they say,
the government should care for it,
Uncle Sam should pay.
We people of Los Osos
can ill afford the cost.
If forced to bear the burden,
many a dream is lost.
We’ll have to sell our homes
and move away for good.
Leaving what has been for years
Our only neighborhood.
Give citizens here at home
some consideration.
And withhold a portion
of the dole to foreign nations.
If politicians could benefit
from helping solve our plight,
we’d have a brand-new sewer
“almost overnight.”
