ARTS Obispo is calling for nominations for the position of San Luis Obispo County Poet Laureate. A poet laureate shares the art of poetry with citizens of the county through their writing, leadership, and poetry readings. The individual chosen to serve as poet laureate must hold public readings throughout the county. One of the poet laureate’s duties is to lead a cultural and/or educational poetry program for the duration of the two-year term, from Jan. 1, 2019, to Dec. 31, 2020.
