Have the Los Osos CSD-three gone mad? They’re scrambling to start the doomed sewer project at any cost. We aren’t even sure if the aquifer is really polluted after all now, but they admit we’re in overdraft on our water. This changes everything, doesn’t it? We’ve got some major problems with this sewer. I just heard that they’ve marked the groves of tall eucalyptus for clear-cutting.

Cutting those trees before the recall and initiative election in two months is ludicrous and obscene. Wake up Los Osos. The CSD has time to resolve the election decisions before plowing forward any further. Tell them to hold off on the tree felling. If the sewer moves, those beautiful trees are ours. To cut them now would be criminal.

Call the CSD at 528-9370 or fax at 528-9377. Tell them to wait to see what the September election decides before cutting any trees. That would be embarrassingly unethical.
