Why do you give so much space to letters and commentaries from the off-roading malcontents, Andy Caldwell and Kevin Rice? If I’m not mistaken, membership in the Sierra Club is not a disqualification for membership on the grand jury, nor should it be. The people who are motivated to give time to the grand jury are among the most civic- minded I know. David Giorgi and Larry Lynch, who served on the grand jury, are members of the Sierra Club. My thanks to them for spending the hours in study and collaboration it takes to be good members of that body. These days, no one can be too green for me.
