The three Los Osos CSD board members that are being recalled — Stan Gustafson, Gordon Hensley, and Richard La Gros — have had plenty of time and opportunity to provide us with a more affordable sewer system.
There are those in Los Osos who have studied investigated this sewer project and presented their findings to the CSD board, but they refuse to accept or even acknowledge these findings. Approximately one-third of Los Osos residents are unable to afford $157 per month sewer bills plus $1,400-$4,500 hookup costs. These costs are not just own owner-occupied residences, but owners of rental property will pass these costs on to renters. Our frustration has reached a point that we feel forced to a recall.
