I am appalled by Americans who can support greed, hate, and war but still call themselves “Christians.� I was taught that real Christians are loving, forgiving, selfless people who hate no one, and are more concerned about helping the less fortunate than just acquiring wealth. Just as the neoconservatives who have overrun our country have little in common with true conservatives, these neoChristians have “copped out� on emulating Jesus. They think that by talking the “talk� about accepting him as their savior, they don’t have to walk the very challenging “walk.�
So if your “faith� allows you to support un-Christian actions, please find a more accurate name for yourselves. I think “Bushians� would be appropriate.
