During the spring 2008 semester, Cuesta College set an all-time high enrollment record with 11,944 students seeking higher education from the Central Coast community college.

According to a press release, enrollment statistics increased at each of Cuesta College’s four sites.

The San Luis Obispo campus experienced a slight growth, the North County campus increased the student body population by 6.5 percent, distance education students increased by 11 percent, and the South County centers showed the most growth with an 18 percent student population increase over last year’s totals.

The previous enrollment record took place in the fall semester of 2007, when Cuesta College enrolled 11,844 students, according to the college’s media relations coordinator, Jill Ivie.
