For the month of June, Gallery at Marina Square is featuring two keen-eyed photographers, a colorful and whimsical acrylic painter, and a ceramicist who creates remarkable glazes.
Streetscape and landscape photographer Cathy Russ has traveled the world to capture her images. Her dramatic equine photos and evocative landscapes capture the beauty and wonder of the natural and wild world we live in.
Fine art photographer Kerry Drager “shares his enthusiasm for photography and the outdoors through teaching, writing, and exhibiting,” his bio explains.
It’s impossible not to see the joy in Janet Newland’s charming paintings. The largely self-taught artist has developed a unique style. “Her work celebrates the understated beauty of daily rituals,” her bio says.
Thomas Brown has been studying and developing crystalline glazes since 1983, which he calls his “passion.” He’s been an art instructor for 16 years who’s also working on his post graduate degree in technical ceramics and glaze calculations.
Join these artists for a reception on Saturday, June 13, from 3 to 5 p.m. The gallery is located at 601 Embarcadero, suite 10, Morro Bay, and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit galleryatmarinasquare.com for more information. Contact the gallery at (805) 772-1068. Δ
