Can you believe the cost of the Los
Osos proposed sewer? The CSD Board approved by a 3-2 vote to charge ratepayers/taxpayers a monthly bill well
over $200 that will only increase with time. The best estimates are $2,400 to $3,600 a year? That’s a lot of money to gamble on
an incomplete project that will increase
in payments over time.

New industry research available to our CSD clearly shows that we can dramatically cut down that cost based on location and technology. But will the CSD listen and
make the necessary changes to save us the cost? One has to wonder, in the charged political climate, can those who backed the current plan be big enough to save their friends and neighbors and the community from financial ruin, or will they be more concerned about saving face, positions as directors, or even their own “personal” investments in the plan, and push through an exorbitantly expensive sewer plant?
They are betting it all works out and we
forget this sad chapter in our history. But are they dreaming? And betting on it with our money and future?
