Sometimes all a boy needs is his bunny. Revisit the children’s classic story of The Velveteen Rabbit: A Garden at the Edge of the Forest through the lens of ballet on March 25 at 6 p.m. and March 26 at 2 p.m. at Ballet Theatre San Luis Obispoās BlackBox Theatre.
Ballet Theatre San Luis Obispoās performing company will join the nonprofit ballet schoolās youth performance group and childrenās classes on stage for Youth Performance Showcase 2017. The ballet tells the story of the boy and rabbitās picnic in the garden being invaded by ants; curious wild rabbits ask the velveteen rabbit many unsettling questions; and the boy and rabbit make lovely fairy huts in the Raspberry Canes. Other performances will include Woodland Sprites and the premier of The Sound of Music Suite. Tickets are $10 for kids 12 and under and $15 for general admission.
