San Luis Obispo County 4th District Supervisor Lynn Compton—who appointed “Citizen Of The Year” Jim Harrison to his (like her own) non-partisan post on the Planning Commission—knew exactly who Jim was. The reason that she appointed him had nothing whatsoever to do with qualifications for the job, but rather it was simply that he is truly one of her people.
