Our family would like to acknowledge an act of kindness that occurred in your community. During the late afternoon of Monday, August 9, as we were walking our Afghan Hound down Shell Beach Road, she experienced a seizure, lost her balance, and was unable to walk.

We were many blocks from our hotel and realized we would have to carry our 57-pound dog all the way back. Amazingly, a lovely woman named Elizabeth drove up and asked if she could assist us. She had observed our dog’s seizure, turned her car around, and came to our rescue. Elizabeth allowed us to place our dog in her back seat and drove us directly to the front door of our hotel.

We did not get the chance to properly thank Elizabeth for her magnanimous gesture. We would like her to know our dog recuperated fully and her kindness is deeply appreciated. Not only is your community beautiful, but also its citizens are thoughtful and generous. Thank you, Elizabeth!
