DUGGAN It’s great getting your art out there, and it’s always nice making a customer happy. I love what I do.

DUGGAN Names generally aren’t a good idea. You never know what might happen a few years down the road. I don’t like to say any tattoo is a bad tattoo, because what might not be significant to me might be really significant to someone else.

DUGGAN Eleven and a half years.
NEW TIMES Do you have any tips for someone getting their first tattoo?
DUGGAN Always research your artist. Look at the work they’ve done in the past and always come sober to your appointment. It’s impossible to tattoo someone when they’re drunk, for a lot of reasons.

DUGGAN Day of the Dead tattoos are pretty popular right now. They’re like the tribal band tattoo of 2011.
