Some wealthy, presumably white rancher has put up a hilarious yet disgusting billboard along Highway 101 south of Arroyo Grande. The billboard asks, “Had enough? Vote Republican.”

Well sir, in fact, yes, I have had enough. I’ve had enough of a sociopathic, white supremacist, misogynist, moron pretending to be the president of the United States.

I’ve had enough of thousands of families being destroyed in U.S.-run concentration camps along our southern border, which goes on to this very day. I’ve had enough of the shredding of every single environmental protection act, including the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act—which save human lives—in order to protect Big Oil’s profits.

I’ve had enough of a treasonous, amoral, wannabe Mafia godfather/emperor who has deliberately decided to destroy the U.S. Postal Service in order to suppress American citizens from voting.

And I’ve had enough of an idiot who believes science is fake, who believes conspiracy theories are real, who’s happy to allow the 50 states to respond to a pandemic killing hundreds of thousands of Americans because it’s not the federal government’s job.

So yes sir, I’ve definitely had enough. And there is zero chance I will be voting Republican anytime soon.

  1. The writer betrays his own bigotry when he, without any evidence, attributes the “Had enough” sign to a “wealthy white rancher”. It seems he is reacting to a lively dialogue going on inside of his head, rather than to any actual facts. Perhaps it is time to get out of the cloistered liberal echo chamber, and talk to normal people.

  2. I had enough in 1964 when the monied Republicans sabotaged the Goldwater campaign waiting impatiently for the founding of the Libertarian Party in Dec 1971.
The Libertarian Party has been saying
    “Enough is Enough”
in every election since 1972 when our Presidential candidate and his charming lady running mate were given an Electoral College vote by a Virginia Elector. Toni Nathan was the first woman to receive an Electoral College vote!
The Libertarian Party also took up the
    “Tweedledee v Tweedledum”
cry of George Wallace, echoing it through the years of the LP candidate being on the ballot of 50 states in 1980, 1992, 1996, 2000, again in 2016. As of 2016 the LP has ballot status in 37 or 38 states plus the District of Columbia. This is enough to elect a President. However, in 2020, the LP candidate will be on the ballot in all 50 states again.
The LP cry in 2020 is
    ‘Let Her Be Heard”.
Another probably fruitless demand for the candidates with 50 state ballot status to be included in the Presidential Debates. That would mean four candidates, not just two [Tweedledum v Tweedledumer].
Just imagine a woman on the stage.
One with a background in business and teaching with a PhD .
She, Jo Jorgenson, just might get more than one rogue Electoral College vote.
When she does, American voters might begin to see beyond the power brokers of the DemRep party politicians who control the elections with barriers to the ballot for all but each other.

  3. Hi Chris,
Let me start by saying thank you for posting such an accurate assessment of what all of us with a brain know is happening. I’ve also had enough of the chaos, cheating, lying, stealing, corruption and essentially unchecked out of control actions from a President that somehow, in Mafia-boss style, has high-jacked a major political party, convinced millions of misguided Americans that he has their best interest in mind, has single-handedly made a laughing stock out of the most powerful nation in the World, and will drag dozens of other high-ranking Republicans into the dirt due to their inability to stand up against him (Mitt Romney excluded) – never thought I’d be proud of Mitt. Now for the good news, Trump has shot himself in the foot one too many times to be re-elected. He’s done, it’s over, and good riddens to bad rubbish. I’m not looking forward to the B.S. forthcoming after election day from Trump & Company (e.g., rigged election, bogus balloting, etc.); however, I am looking forward to turning the page and getting on with life. I only hope this whole mess will go down as a lesson hard-learned about a man who would be King then rejected by an entire nation. Lastly, I honestly hope that Biden refuses to pardon Trump next year for all of the illegalities that have occurred. In a morbid sort of way, it would be fascinating to see him in handcuffs (Orange is the new Black).

  4. So why not tell all the readers exactly how Biden/Harris are going to fix all the problems. Exactly what they have accomplished the last four years, or even during their entire careers. A big nothing burger huh?! The American people deserve better from BOTH parties, but the Demo ticket is beyond pathatic. Get behind the president and lets get our country moving in the right direction together.
