Compliments on covering tuberculosis (“Inconspicuous consumption,” Jan. 30). It killed my grandmother when young, and I have calcified nodes in my lungs indicating I had it. I was a lab technician long ago looking for the tiny red organism in sputum samples that you mention in the article.
Some things seem to never change.
