If in the end we find out the health bill the Democrats are trying to pass requires all Americans to buy insurance from private companies run by fat-cat CEOs, the party can expect to face the voters’ wrath. From what I know, the legislation was written by the insurers for the insurers. We deserve better. The private health-insurance companies respect just one thing: the public option. That scares them.
