The recent tragic school shooting was bad enough, but to hear that an armed deputy failed to intervene and possibly save the lives of young people is tragic. It was an act of despicable cowardice. But what about Congress and the president? They could intervene on the next one and save lives, and they are armed with the authority of law. But fearful of special interests, they are afraid to do so, therefore they are just as cowardly as the deputy. In fact, they are even more cowardly than the deputy because at least he feared for his life, which we all can understand, while all they care about is their jobs. Because of their cowardice, many more will die. They are worse than despicable.

I agree, and on a similar topic, people who believed Trumps campaign promises can be understood, because he flat out lied to them (remember “I have a secret plan to defeat ISIS in 30 days??”), while Paul Ryan and MItch McConnell are knowingly helping Trump destroy American institutions (fake news fake judiciary fake science fake everything except 1.5 TRILLION tax cuts for my rich friends) so they can turn America into an Aristoc$$$$$racy for their wealthy friends.
To quote the prior letter, they are worse than despicable.
Gun fetishists are the lowest form of scum. They & their NRA overlords are depraved psychopaths & utterly despicable. Decent people must never underestimate how evil, stupid & dangerous gun-humping slime are.
I guess all those mass killing on Obamas watch were Trumps fault, I guess allowing Bump stocks to be sold by Obama aagainst the NRA’s views to put more restrictions on them were part of Trumps fault. Progressives seem to live in a world that inspires disbelief in realities, so now NRA and gun owners are scum of the earth. So why is it all politico’s on both sides make sure they are protected by gun holding sicko’s?
