On May 17, the SLO City Council voted to place two measures on a special all mail-in ballot on Aug. 30; they are pension reform and the repeal of binding arbitration. There is a considerable amount of information that must be disseminated to fully understand the reasons why the City Council introduced these measures and what the consequences are if these measures are approved or rejected by the voters of SLO.

There are several Internet sites that have been developed to help the voters reach an informed decision regarding these two extremely important measures. They are citizensforslo.org, slotruth.org, and slochamber.org. Please identify the values and principles that are most important to you, compare those to the two measures on the special all mail-in ballot, and vote accordingly.
