A memorial service for the world-renowned jazz and blues saxophonist James “Red” Holloway is set to take place at 1 p.m. on April 22 at the Cambria Vets Hall, at 1000 Main St., in Cambria.

Holloway, a Central Coast resident, died Feb. 25 at the Bayside Care Center in Morro Bay after experiencing kidney failure and other complications from a number of recent strokes. He was 84.
