I must admit I had to read the opinions from each of these writers at least twice, but still couldn’t discern what they were trying to say in so many words.
Kathy Riedmann (“With all due respect,” Oct. 19) affirmed that she condones and supports Antifa’s fascist tactics to block the free speech of others that they do not agree with. Robert Cuddy (“Inglorious past,” Oct. 19) is baffling, but wants to rewrite our country’s history, which he doesn’t like. He doesn’t like our country, and also wants to ban free speech that does not agree with his point of view. Both of these writers are very disturbing in their hate speech. They embrace others who want to block free speech. Even when they use violence. Very disturbing! It is a look into the minds of disturbing people who are basically haters.
Either one is a good example of what is wrong with liberal ideology, which has failed time and time again, so they must block speech that points this out, and must distract their readers with misinformation. We all can see clearly that you hate our current president, you apparently hate our country, and you apparently hate anyone who has a different point of view than yourselves. Each of you could have stated this in a couple short sentences. Hoping our country has problems or our current president fails show you really don’t care about people, just your worn out ideology. Keep up the good work of shining a light on this hatred from the left.

Definition of Antifa – Anti Fascist!!! Learn your history. Yes, Antifa is willing to meet violence with violence, which I disagree with but they have been fighting fascists since Hitler!
Actually they are more like Hitler’s fascists than they are like his opposition. Using fascist tactics to oppose fascism is the definition of insanity.
Fascists and communists are fellow travelers and the folks that fought fascism do not believe in violence to silence others.
The people who fight fascism support free speech, even speech they disagree with.
The people who are fascists suppress anything they disagree with and are willing to use violence to get their way.
Learning some history would be an excellent idea for Molly as she seems to be ignorant of actual history and has substituted a fantasy that supports her sad beliefs.
Antifa has only existed a short time and has fought NO actual fascists anywhere. Cowards in mobs wearing masks….kinda like the KKK
Mr. Lockwood, I think the reason you don’t understand what Riedman and Cuddy were trying to say is that your mind is so rigid and dark that it won’t let any light in. It’s your job to organize your clutter, Mr. Lockwood. Don’t blame anyone else.
Donald Trump promotes and lives for the Seven Deadly Sins. Thus he’s not the type of person suited to lead a just nation or even a single household. His attitudes and actions are more suited for the depths of Hell, but even there his ineptness assures he would not long be tolerated.
Those who can’t see the evil in Donald Trump must be blind to it in themselves as well. It is easy to imagine that Trump, if empowered and supported in his efforts, would be quite pleased with himself if he ordered more atrocities than Adolph Hitler, a man Trump admires alongside Vladimir Putin, Saddam Hussein and the leadership of North Korea.
Trump always puts his own interests above that of others. He is working with Putin to divide and weaken the United States. Trump is a tool and a fool and a worse threat to democracy and justice than Osama Bin Ladin and Charles Manson.
Never have more American’s rallied in support of someone so vile, sick, untrustworthy and spiritually crippled as Donald Trump. Sad. But America will weather this freak and come out stronger as we use Trump to identify those who are so foolish or so crippled or so morally bankrupt to wish such a horrible man to be the leader of the free world.
Donald Trump’s reprehensible and unrepentant lying, his xenophobic scapegoating and his outrageous attacks on women leave good, morally upright people no reason to trust Donald Trump or the direction he’s leading this nation. Natural resistance seems very much to be a good thing under a Donald Trump presidency. To follow Trump’s lead on anything feels like following someone who history will rank somewhere between Benedict Arnold and Adolph Hitler.
