In his latest Rhetoric and Reason column, “President-elect Trump and Republicans,” (New Times, Jan. 19) Al Fonzi’s parting words were to talk with Republicans about their philosophy and reasonableness. Good advice, especially if both parties use it, as this should encourage people to listen to one another instead of perpetuating this awful polarization.
