Think you can’t live without art and know that it changes people’s lives? Well, maybe you should think about volunteering your time to help with the Arts and Economic Prosperity Study.

ARTS Obispo is looking for people like you to help collect the data that Americans for the Arts will use to prove to your doubtful fellow humans just how important arts and culture events and programs really are.

Every five years, Americans for the Arts conducts this study to show how arts events and organizations impact the economy locally and nationwide. ARTS Obispo is looking for volunteers to study upcoming events, including the countywide Open Studios Art Tour on Oct. 15 and 16, OperaSLO’s production of La Boheme at the PAC on Oct. 15 and 16, and the Zydeco Flames concert at Wild Horse Winery in Templeton on Oct. 15.

If you’re interested in lending a hand, visit sloartscouncil.org and fill out a volunteer application.
